To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, the festival of Janmashtami was celebrated at David School on Thursday, 14th August 2025. Students from classes KG and I participated in the programme. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the sight of our little students dressed as Radha and Krishna. The premises was decorated with beautiful backdrops, flowers, flutes, matkies, hut, trees etc. and beautiful scenes depicting captivating Krishna Leela. A colourful dance performance by students of class I dressed up as Krishna, Radha and Gopikas added to the festivity. The Krishna Jhoola attracted everyone’s attention where the idol of baby Krishna, Ladoo Gopal was placed on a small cot, filling the air with joy and festive spirit. The students enjoyed rocking the cradle of baby Krishna. The Janmashtami celebration was a delightful and educational experience for students that taught value of true friendship, forgiveness and empathy. It provided an opportunity for the students to learn about the rich cultural heritage of India.
